Felicia Hennis

Felicia Hennis has worked at the Department of Information and Broadcasting for nearly 20 years where she currently holds the position of Information Officer.Ms. Hennis has a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Communications from The New York Institute of Technology. She also has an Associate in Arts from The State University of New York – College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill. Ms. Hennis strongly believes in learning and always takes the opportunity to enroll in any courses to develop her skills. She has completed a short course by the UWI Open Campus in Advance Supervisory Management and completed The Leadership Programme, Taking the Lead conducted by the Comprehensive Learning Center.

Ms. Hennis has attended several media workshops in the region and also had the opportunity to travel to Brussels for a media session organized by the European Union for regional journalists. In 2011, Ms. Hennis attended a Media Workshop in the BVI organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization and was presented with the Caribbean Media Workshop Award for Best Story on the BVI.

Ms. Hennis is an avid reader and loves travelling. She is also passionate about calypso and has attended calypso workshops. She has also been a judge for the Inter-Primary School calypso competition. Ms. Hennis continues to play an integral role at Radio Anguilla and during the island’s premier Summer Festival, her voice can be heard around the world for some of the shows including the Calypso competitions.
