In an effort to inform the population about prevention and control of chronic illness in Anguilla, the National Chronic Disease Unit created the 'Talking Chronic Diseases' Radio Talk Show. The show invites medical and health professionals monthly as well as persons who have in-depth knowledge based on personal experiences. The purpose of the radio show is to relay important information about the prevention and control of chronic diseases. The show serves as a mechanism to encourage and promote healthful living practices that prevent Chronic Diseases. Topics chosen are primarily based upon happenings within the National Chronic Disease Unit and or the commemoration of special days, weeks and months throughout the year surrounding chronic diseases. The host of the show is Ms. Fedalia Richardson, who is the Non-Communicable Diseases Programme Officer at the National Chronic Disease Unit.
